?

How much does it cost to take the OASIS program?

The OASIS program is free of charge.

?

Who is eligible to participate in OASIS?

OASIS is divided into technology-based and trade-based tracks. The technology-based startup track is open to foreign applicants preparing to start a business with technology items eligible for patent filing. The trade-based startup track is open to foreign applicants who want to export Korean products overseas. However, restaurants and simple wholesale/retail businesses are not eligible. Chungbuk Global Startup Immigration Center focuses primarily on supporting technology-based startups.

Visa issuance period

The Startup Preparation Visa (D-10-2) can be issued in 6-month increments for up to 2 years. The Technology Startup Visa (D-8-4) is issued for one year at a time while the business is being operated. The Trade Visa (D-9-1) can be extended annually for one year based on trade performance.

?

Best timing to join OASIS

Foreign entrepreneurs can join OASIS once their business idea has been concretized and they are ready to proceed with business preparation. For the Technology Startup Visa (D-8-4), we recommend joining when your business item is clearly defined and a prototype is prepared to some extent.

?

In-person consultation

Please send your business item, current business status, current visa status, and consultation details to oasis@cbio.or.kr. After review, we will inform you of the consultation location and time by email. Also, OASIS does not decide or screen visa issuance. Final decisions on visa issuance are made by the Korea Immigration Service under the Ministry of Justice.
